Entering year-end vacation season, Michael Pachter, a analyst of Wedbush Morgan, predicted that tren degradation of console price will still going on till next year springtime.

Pachter say that though sale of console of nextgen not as hilarious as in year 2002, in a few last month have seen some indication that the console sale will be increased because many reduction of price as well as cool games like Halo 3. Though in year 2002, console price still below $ 200, differing from nowthat ranging from $ 300 to $400. According to Pachter, roll-out of PSP Slim and of PS3 40GB representing continuation of this tren, and they are trigger that triggered the console sales till this end of year.

Pachter also say, " We believe that good sales figure of PS2 this year will push growth of sale in next year, and we expect sale of software in next year will cover the descent of PS3 sales figure.

This Analyst also mention that degradation of Xbox 360 and PS3 price [in] early summer this year will push to more and more to the number of discounted start from October this year. " Sony seems will start to cut price of PS2 [in] early next year," he said.

" We also predict price cutting of PS3 [in] springtime next year, and possible just with launching Grand Theft Auto IV and the exclusive games of PS3 like Metal Gear Solid 4, Little Big Planet and Gran Turismo 5. We are not hoping too much with Wii till supply and request of that console can be well-balanced, but we trust with the launching of Super Smash Brother Brawl on 10 Februari 2008 later, seems there is possibility of price change."
